Summer is the best, but I always feel it in my body by the end. The long days in the sun, travel, extra cocktails, late nights, and all the little ways routines slip off track—it’s fun, but it leaves me feeling heavy and a little off balance. By the time September comes, I’m craving a reset. I like to think of fall as the time to gently detox from summer, ground the body, and get back to feeling light and clear again.
Why the Body Matters as Much as the Face
One thing I’ve learned in my work is that whatever shows up on the face often begins in the body. Puffiness, dullness, even breakouts—so often it’s circulation, digestion, or lymph that need support. That’s why I care so much about body treatments. They don’t just sculpt or smooth the surface—they wake up the whole system and help everything work the way it should. And when the body feels good, the skin naturally follows.
A European Philosophy of Care
I’ve always admired the European approach to wellness. In places like France, people don’t separate body care from face care; it’s all part of the same ritual. The skin is seen as one continuous organ, and the body is treated with the same attention as the face. Caring for your stomach, legs, arms, and circulation isn’t extra, it’s essential.
Detox & Reset in the Studio
What makes coming to me different is that I don’t just focus on one part of you. I’m always looking at the whole picture. Every treatment is customized to what your body needs that day. Maybe it’s more lymphatic work, maybe it’s deep sculpting, or maybe it’s simply holding space for you to slow down and reconnect. My goal is that you don’t just look better when you leave, but that you feel better—lighter, clearer, and more in tune with yourself.
When I work on the body, I start at the core. The stomach is where so many of us hold stress, bloating, and tension. Through abdominal massage, lymphatic flow, and sculpting techniques, we get things moving again. Whether it’s the Infrared Algae Detox or Sculpt Corp, clients leave feeling both calm and energized, and that’s exactly the balance I want for them.
How the Lymphatic System Works—and Why You Feel Instantly Lighter
The lymphatic system is like the body’s natural drainage network. It moves out excess fluids, waste, and toxins that can make us feel puffy or sluggish. When it’s stimulated through massage or body treatments, that fluid starts flowing again, almost like unclogging a stream. I had a client recently tell me that even her wrist felt skinnier afterward, and that’s exactly why! The release of built-up fluid can make the body feel lighter, more sculpted, and more comfortable almost instantly.
My Go-To Supplements & Rituals
The truth is, the biggest shifts come from what we do every day. These are the things I personally love and use regularly to keep myself feeling balanced between treatments:
I think of these less as products and more as little moments of care—things I look forward to that help me stay balanced and connected to my body.
The Bigger Picture
Of course, treatments and products feel even better when the basics are in place. Movement, whole foods, water, and rest. It doesn’t have to be perfect, but when I’m in rhythm with those things, I notice how much brighter my skin looks and how much lighter my body feels.
Another piece of this reset for me is movement. Fitness is such an important part of keeping the body (and skin) healthy. Personally, I love barre and lifting weights. They make me feel strong, toned, and energized. But the truth is, it doesn’t have to look a certain way. For some people it’s Pilates, yoga, or running. For others, it’s as simple as a long daily walk. The key is finding something you actually enjoy, because consistency matters more than anything. Movement keeps circulation flowing, clears the mind, and makes every treatment and ritual work that much better.
The Season of Reset
The fall always feels like the right time to realign. Not in a “start over” way, but in a gentle return to balance. Lighter, clearer, calmer. That’s the energy I love to carry into the season and the feeling I want you to leave with after every visit at Anej.
